Seventh ranked Lugano Tigers (5-5) crushed at home 8th ranked Boncourt (3-6) by 38 points 89-51, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Lugano Tigers. Boncourt was better in third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lugano Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Boncourt's 32. Lugano Tigers forced 21 Boncourt turnovers. Swingman Axel Louissaint (197-96) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Lugano Tigers players scored in double figures. Serbian-Montenegrin center Nemanja Calasan (204-85, college: Purdue, agency: HMS) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Branislav Kostic (180-94) added 9 points in the effort for Boncourt. Lugano Tigers moved-up to sixth place. Boncourt lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. Lugano Tigers will have a break next round. Boncourt will play at home against Swiss Central (#5) and hope to win that game.
