Bottom-ranked Winterthur (0-9) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their ninth consecutive match to ninth ranked Neuchatel (4-5) 104-73 on Friday evening. The game without a history. Neuchatel led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Neuchatel looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Winterthur's players. Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international swingman Cedric Mafuta (192-84) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Neuchatel players scored in double figures. American forward Sean Sheldon (210-93, college: William & Mary) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Jordan Downing (196-92, college: Presbyterian) added 25 points respectively for lost side. Neuchatel moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Lausanne. Loser Winterthur still closes the standings with nine games lost. Neuchatel will meet Massagno (#10) on the road in the next round. Winterthur will play against Geneve Lions and hopes to get finally their first victory.
