Regular Season Round 11: MTK - PINKK-Pecsi 66-55

MTK has finally registered their first victory this season after nine consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat PINKK-Pecsi (1-9) 66-55 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by MTK. PINKK-Pecsi managed to win third quarter 12-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Bettina Baksa (171-92) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international swingman Orsolya Zsovar (180-84) chipped in 15 points and 7 assists. The former international power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) produced 11 points and 7 rebounds and center Emese Kovalcsik (191-91) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MTK left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with ELTE-BEAC and PINKK-Pecsi. MTK will meet at home higher ranked UNI Gyor (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. PINKK-Pecsi will play against Vasas Akademia (#8) and hope to win that game.
