Very expected game in Syktyvkar where 9th ranked UMMC Junior (5-13) was defeated by fifth ranked Nika (9-9) 66-57 on Sunday. Nika forced 20 UMMC Junior turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kseniya Andreeva (185-92) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Marina Sheveleva (184-89) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Point guard Yuliya Sorokina (176-94) responded with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Ekaterina Ilinova (178-95) scored 9 points. UMMC Junior's coach Denis Sevastianov let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Nika have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Nika maintains fifth position with 9-9 record. UMMC Junior lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 13 games lost.
