No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Aarau (6-4) beat at home 7th ranked Bellinzona (3-7) 73-60. The game without a history. Aarau led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Aarau outrebounded Bellinzona 47-23 including a 22-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. It was a great evening for guard Niya Johnson (173-93, college: Baylor) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals. Forward Kristina Santiago (185-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 24 points and 12 rebounds. Four Aarau players scored in double figures. Center Jasmine Hines (192-93, college: Michigan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Chanise Jenkins (165-92, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) scored 23 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Aarau moved-up to third place. Bellinzona lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Aarau will play against league's leader Fribourg on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bellinzona will have a break next round.
