Regular Season Round 12: Atomeromu - KTE-Duna 71-72

A very interesting game took place in Paks. It ended with only one-point home defeat of 12th ranked Atomeromu (3-9) to tenth ranked KTE-Duna (6-6) 72-71 on Saturday evening. The winners were led by naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) who scored that evening 18 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) supported him with 17 points. Even a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds by American power forward Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) did not help to save the game for Atomeromu. His fellow American import forward Lawrence Gilbert (200-86, college: La-Monroe, agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Atomeromu's coach Gediminas Petrauskas rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KTE-Duna moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Szolnok and Szedeak. Atomeromu lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with nine games lost. KTE-Duna's next round opponent will be league's leader Alba in Szekesfehervar and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Atomeromu will play on the road against ZTE KK (#3) in Zalaegerszeg and hope to win that game.
