Regular Season Round 12: MAFC - Kaposvari 71-72

Thirteenth-ranked MAFC (2-10) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked Kaposvari (8-4) in Budapest. The visitors from Kaposvar managed to secure only one-point victory 72-71. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as MAFC took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Kaposvari had a 25-16 second period charge getting the lead and MAFC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-72. MAFC was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American-Liberian point guard Jaytornah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) who saved his team from a defeat with 20 points and 4 steals. American forward Malik Cooke (201-89, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) replied with 22 points and 7 rebounds and American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) added 14 points in the effort for MAFC. Kaposvari moved-up to third place, which they share with ZTE KK and PVSK Pannon. MAFC at the other side keeps the thirteenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Vasas. Kaposvari will play against Szedeak (#7) in Szeged in the next round. MAFC will play at home against Sopron KC (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
