Regular Season Round 12: PVSK Pannon - Alba 70-77

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Pecs. First ranked Alba faced 3rd ranked PVSK Pannon. Guests from Szekesfehervar (10-2) defeated host PVSK Pannon (8-4) 77-70. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of PVSK Pannon. The guests trailed by 8 points at the halftime before their 40-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Winston Shepard (203-93, college: San Diego St.) who scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. The former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Bosnian center Ismet Sejfic (208-93) who recorded a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and the former international guard Zoltan Supola (190-88, agency: HMS) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. Alba maintains first position with 10-2 record. PVSK Pannon at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with ZTE KK and Kaposvari. Alba are looking forward to face KTE-Duna (#8) in Kecskemet in the next round and are hoping to win another game. PVSK Pannon will play on the road against Vasas (#14) in Budapest and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
