Regular Season Round 12: Sopron KC - Falco KC 76-79

Important game to mention about took place in Sopron. Sixth ranked Falco KC (7-5) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 10th ranked Sopron KC (5-7) 79-76 on Saturday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-14. But Sopron KC won second period 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who scored 19 points. The former international power forward Norbert Toth (205-86) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Four Falco KC players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Brandon Johnson (183-86, college: San Diego, agency: BeoBasket) who recorded 18 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals and naturalized Serbian center Marko Spica (205-86, college: Cent.Michigan, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) added 16 points respectively. Sopron KC's coach Balazs Sabali tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Falco KC have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 7-5 record. Loser Sopron KC keeps the tenth place with seven games lost. Falco KC will face Jaszberenyi (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Sopron KC will play against MAFC in Budapest and hope to win that game.
