Regular Season Round 12: Jaszberenyi - ZTE KK 84-93

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked ZTE KK (8-4) defeated on the road 11th ranked Jaszberenyi (4-8) 93-84 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back winning next two quarters and won the game by 9 points. ZTE KK dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Jaszberenyi's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Jaszberenyi's players. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) who scored 24 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Julian Norfleet (188-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Four ZTE KK players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian power forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (206-90) who recorded 20 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Brent Arrington (190-92, college: Morehead St.) added 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively. ZTE KK moved-up to third place, which they share with Kaposvari and PVSK Pannon. Jaszberenyi lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with eight games lost. ZTE KK will face Atomeromu (#12) in Paks in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Jaszberenyi will play on the road against Falco KC in Szombathely and hope to win that game.
