Regular Season Round 11: Keravnos - Etha 92-67

Division A top team - Keravnos (10-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Etha (2-9) in Strovolos 92-67. The game was mostly controlled by Keravnos. Etha was better in fourth quarter 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Etha's 22. They outrebounded Etha 43-25 including 32 on the defensive glass. Keravnos players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Jake O'Brien (206-89, college: Temple, agency: HMS) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import point guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Keravnos players scored in double figures. American guard Baden Jaxen (190-90, college: N.Carolina) responded with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Puerto Rican-American forward Christopher Ortiz (203-93, college: Kent St.) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Keravnos have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 10-1 record. Etha lost third consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Keravnos will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Etha will play at home against the league's second-placed AEK (#2) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
