PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (13-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Dynamo Moscow (4-8) 100-47. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to Dynamo Moscow's 24. UMMC Ekaterinburg forced 19 Dynamo Moscow turnovers and outrebounded them 44-30 including a 37-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. UMMC Ekaterinburg looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Dynamo Moscow's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UMMC Ekaterinburg made 8 blocks. American center Brittney Griner (203-90, college: Baylor) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Spanish forward Alba Torrens (188-89) contributed with 10 points and 9 assists for the winners. Five UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. Guard Olga Vorobyeva (184-87, agency: LBM Management) replied with 13 points and British-Australian center Alexandra Bunton (198-93) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo Moscow. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive nine-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Dynamo Moscow lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg are looking forward to face Vologda-Chevakata (#4) at home in the next round. Dynamo Moscow will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
