Regular Season Round 13: UNI Gyor - PINKK-Pecsi 73-64

Very expected game when 9th ranked PINKK-Pecsi (2-10) lost on the road to fourth ranked UNI Gyor (9-2) 73-64. They made 22-of-24 charity shots (91.7 percent) during the game. UNI Gyor forced 19 PINKK-Pecsi turnovers. PINKK-Pecsi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (made all of her nine free throws !!!) for the winners and international guard Zsofia Simon (181-89, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 17 points. Four UNI Gyor players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) responded with 15 points and Slovenian guard Katarina Ristic (170-84, agency: Two Points) scored 17 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for UNI Gyor. They moved-up to second place. PINKK-Pecsi at the other side keeps the ninth position with ten games lost. UNI Gyor will play against ZTE NKK (#7) in Zalaegerszeg in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. PINKK-Pecsi will play at home against the league's leader MKB Euroleasing and hopes to get back on the winning track.
