Regular Season Round 24: Dynamo-2 M. - Rostov 81-82

Eighth-ranked Dynamo-2 M. (10-14) used its home court advantage to challenge second ranked BC Rostov (16-10) in Moscow on Saturday. The visitors from Rostov managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. BC Rostov forced 20 Dynamo-2 M. turnovers. Strangely Dynamo-2 M. outrebounded BC Rostov 45-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for forward Yana Kotova (186-88) who saved her team from a defeat with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Daria Prosolupova (170-94) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Power forward Alexandra Kirina (190-96) replied with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Svetlana Boykova (182-96) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Dynamo-2 M.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. BC Rostov maintains second position with 16-10 record having nine points less than leader Dynamo-Farm. Newly promoted Dynamo-2 M. keeps the eighth place with 14 games lost.
