Regular Season Round 15: MAFC - Atomeromu 68-81

The game between closely ranked teams ended with twelfth ranked Atomeromu's (5-10) road victory over 13th ranked MAFC (3-12) 81-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. MAFC managed to win second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. It was a great evening for American power forward Matt Tiby (203-92, college: Wisc.-Milwaukee) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 15 rebounds. Lithuanian guard Laurynas Samenas (192-88) helped adding 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) with 18 points and 9 assists and Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Atomeromu moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Jaszberenyi. Loser MAFC keeps the thirteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Vasas. Atomeromu will meet at home higher ranked Sopron KC (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. MAFC will play against the league's leader Alba (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
