Regular Season Round 15: Kaposvari - Kormend 77-66

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (10-5) against seventh ranked Kaposvari (9-6) on Saturday night. Visiting Kormend was defeated by Kaposvari in Kaposvar 77-66. Kormend was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. It was a good game for American forward Malik Cooke (201-89, college: S.Carolina, agency: Inception Sports) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) contributed with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American-Guinea-Bissau point guard Perry Petty (185-88, college: UTRGV) answered with 16 points and 4 assists and American guard Sterling Gibbs (188-92, college: Connecticut, agency: Interperformances) added 15 points in the effort for Kormend. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Kaposvari moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Szolnok and Falco KC. Kormend at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. They share it with ZTE KK. Kaposvari will play against Jaszberenyi (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kormend will play against PVSK Pannon (#8) in Pecs and hopes to get back on the winning track.
