Regular Season Round 15: ZTE KK - Vasas 97-81

Very expected game in Zalaegerszeg where 14th ranked Vasas (3-12) were defeated by third ranked ZTE KK (10-5) 97-81 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by ZTE KK. Vasas managed to win second period 22-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 59.1 percentage. It was a great evening for American guard Julian Norfleet (188-91, college: Mt.St.Mary's) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 6 rebounds. American-Puerto Rican point guard Emanuel Ubilla (188-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Court Side) helped adding 18 points and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was American forward A.J. Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) scored 16 points and 7 rebounds. Five ZTE KK and four Vasas players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. ZTE KK moved-up to second place, which they share with Kormend. Newly promoted Vasas stay at the bottom position with 12 games lost. They share it with MAFC. ZTE KK will meet at home Szolnok (#5) in the next round. Vasas will play against Falco KC (#4) and hope to secure a win.
