The game between closely ranked teams ended with tenth ranked Sopron KC's (7-8) home victory over 11th ranked Jaszberenyi (5-10) 99-62 on Saturday. The game without a history. Sopron KC led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Jaszberenyi's 26. They outrebounded Jaszberenyi 45-28 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sopron KC looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Jaszberenyi's players. It was a great evening for the former international Gergely Toth (206-89, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Anthony Myles (196-92, college: Rider) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Four Sopron KC players scored in double figures. Sopron KC's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Serbian Andrija Bojic (207-93, agency: BeoBasket) with 13 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian power forward Svetozar Stamenkovic (206-90) scored 13 points and 5 steals. Sopron KC moved-up to ninth place, which they share with KTE-Duna. Loser Jaszberenyi keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Atomeromu. Sopron KC will meet Atomeromu (#12) in the next round. Jaszberenyi will play against Kaposvari and hope to secure a win.
