Regular Season Round 16: MBA - Dynamo M. 70-83

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Moscow: Dynamo Moscow (#7) and MBA (#6). MBA was defeated at home 70-83 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Dynamo Moscow forced 19 MBA turnovers. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Montenegrin-Serbian Ana Dabovic (183-89) fired 26 points for the winners. Guard Olga Vorobyeva (184-87, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Dynamo Moscow's coach Vladimir Shtam used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Olga Gorbacheva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and forward Yana Degtyarskaya (181-95) added 14 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Dynamo Moscow (6-8) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated MBA. Dynamo Moscow is looking forward to face league's second-placed Dynamo Kursk at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MBA will play against Enisey Krasnoyarsk (#9) and is hoping to win this game.
