Regular Season Round 16: KTE-Duna - Szedeak 82-61
Date: February 1, 2017
There was a small surprise when tenth ranked KTE-Duna (8-8) rolled over 7th ranked Szedeak (8-8) in Kecskemet 82-61 on Wednesday. The game without a history. KTE-Duna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Szedeak's 30 and made 17-of-19 free shots (89.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Szedeak 39-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. KTE-Duna looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by naturalized Serbian forward Tomislav Ivosev (204-90, agency: 011 Sports) who scored that evening 21 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) supported him with 23 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Four KTE-Duna players scored in double figures. KTE-Duna's coach Gabor Forray felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by Bulgarian Ivan Lilov (194-88, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Szedeak. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) added 10 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. KTE-Duna moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Sopron KC and Szedeak. KTE-Duna will meet higher ranked Kormend (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Szedeak will play against ZTE KK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
