Regular Season Round 18: Falco KC - Szedeak 74-69

Date: February 11, 2017
No shocking result in a game in Szombathely where second ranked Falco KC (12-6) defeated 10th ranked Szedeak (8-10) 74-69 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Szedeak won third quarter 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Falco KC won last quarter 17-14. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Belarusian-Russian Aliaksandr Pustahvar (202-85) scored 24 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 11 points and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Serbian center Nenad Sulovic (202-85, agency: BeoBasket) with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and Serbian guard Marko Boltic (193-87, agency: 011 Sports) scored 6 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Falco KC have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 12-6 record having just three points less than leader Alba, which they share with Kormend and Kaposvari. Szedeak lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with ten games lost. They share the position with KTE-Duna. Falco KC will meet Kormend (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Szedeak will play against MAFC (#14) in Budapest and hope to secure a win.
