Regular Season Round 18: Szolnok - MAFC 93-77

The game with biggest result difference took place in Szolnok. Local Szolnok (11-7) beat 14th ranked MAFC (3-15) 93-77 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Szolnok. MAFC managed to win fourth quarter 27-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to MAFC's 36. Szolnok forced 19 MAFC turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. International swingman David Vojvoda (196-90) scored 17 points and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international power forward Janos Eilingsfeld (198-91) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Szolnok players scored in double figures. Szolnok's coach Zoran Kmezics used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) with 13 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists and Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Defending champion moved-up to fifth place, which they share with ZTE KK. MAFC lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Szolnok will meet Sopron KC (#8) on the road in the next round. MAFC will play against Szedeak (#10) and hope to secure a win.
