PBL top team - UMMC Ekaterinburg (17-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed sixth ranked MBA (8-9) in Moscow 106-63. UMMC Ekaterinburg dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to MBA's 42. UMMC Ekaterinburg forced 24 MBA turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by MBA's players. The best player for the winners was Belgian center Emma Meesseman (192-93, agency: LBM Management) who scored 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Anastasia Solovyeva (188-96) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five UMMC Ekaterinburg players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was center Olga Gorbacheva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) who recorded 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Karina Nizamova (170-92) added 15 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. UMMC Ekaterinburg have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 17-0 record. Loser MBA dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. UMMC Ekaterinburg will meet at home Spartak Vidnoye (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MBA will play against the league's second-placed Dynamo Kursk and hope to secure a win.
