Regular Season Round 17: Starwings - Boncourt 88-76

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked Boncourt's (6-10) road loss to sixth ranked Starwings (9-6) 76-88. The game was mostly controlled by Starwings. Boncourt was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Boncourt 38-24 including a 30-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Durell Vinson (201-85, college: Wagner) nailed a double-double by scoring 23 points and 21 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import power forward Octavius Brown (206-93, college: Alcorn St.) accounted for 24 points. American point guard Richard Carter (180-92, college: Drake, agency: Inception Sports) came up with 22 points and 4 assists and forward Vincent Gaillard (203-93) added 16 points respectively for Boncourt in the defeat. Five Starwings and four Boncourt players scored in double figures. Starwings moved-up to fifth place. Boncourt at the other side keeps the seventh position with ten games lost. Starwings' next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Winterthur (#11) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. Boncourt will play against Lausanne (#10) and hope to win that game.
