Regular Season Round 18: Atomeromu - Vasas Akademia 81-57

No shocking result in a game in Szekszard where fourth ranked Atomeromu (12-3) smashed 8th ranked Vasas Akademia (4-13) 81-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Atomeromu. Vasas Akademia managed to win fourth quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Atomeromu made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Vasas Akademia turnovers. The best player for the winners was Slovenian center Eva Lisec (192-95) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian center Sandra Pirsic (196-84) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Cassie Rochel (193-91, college: Wisconsin) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Latinka Dusanic (178-90) added 11 points respectively. Vasas Akademia's coach Igor Skocovski gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Atomeromu have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Vasas Akademia lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Atomeromu are looking forward to face league's leader UNI Gyor on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vasas Akademia will play against BEAC-Ujbuda (#11) and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
