The game in Troistorrents supposed to be also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Winterthur (7-9) played at the court of 8th ranked BBC Troist. (4-12). Winterthur smashed BBC Troist. 77-53 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-53. Winterthur dominated on the defensive end, holding BBC Troist. to just 4 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to BBC Troist.'s 26. It was a great shooting night for Winterthur especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 61.5 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Sarah Halejian (175-92, college: Yale) who scored 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Miriam Baumann (180-93, college: Quest) chipped in 23 points and 9 rebounds. Winterthur's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was French point guard Melanie Devaux (170-92) who recorded 25 points and Hungarian center Andrea Hajdune Csaszar (196-82, college: Kent St.) added 10 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists respectively. Winterthur moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Pully. BBC Troist. lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost.
