Regular Season Round 18: Bellinzona - Fribourg 49-77

LNA top team - Fribourg (15-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Bellinzona (5-11) 77-49. The game was mostly controlled by Fribourg. Bellinzona was better in fourth quarter 15-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Bellinzona 35-21 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fribourg shot the lights out from three nailing 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Bellinzona's players. American guard Jazmine Davis (170-93, college: Washington, agency: LBM Management) notched 34 points (!!!) to lead the effort and the former international forward Alexia Rol (181-89) supported her with 18 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds by American center Jasmine Hines (192-93, college: Michigan St.) did not help to save the game for Bellinzona. Her fellow American import point guard Chanise Jenkins (165-92, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) added 15 points. Bellinzona's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fribourg have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 15-1 record. Bellinzona at the other side keeps the seventh place with 11 games lost.
