Regular Season Round 29: Neftyanik - Dynamo-Farm 59-66

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Omsk. First ranked Dynamo-Farm faced 3rd placed Neftyanik. Guests from Kursk (30-1) defeated host Neftyanik (15-14) 66-59. Dynamo-Farm forced 22 Neftyanik turnovers. The best player for the winners was center Katerina Polyashova (188-96, agency: LBM Management) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Anna Burovaya (172-97) chipped in 7 points. Dynamo-Farm's coach Elena Shakirova used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Power forward Kseniya Chinaeva (180-89) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Yana Panevina (167-91) added 24 points respectively for the hosts. Dynamo-Farm have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 30-1 record. Neftyanik at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 14 games lost. Dynamo-Farm will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Neftyanik will play again at home against the league's leader Dynamo-Farm (#1) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
