Regular Season Round 19: MAFC - Szedeak 67-85

Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Szedeak (9-10) won against bottom-ranked MAFC (3-16) in Budapest 85-67. The game was mostly controlled by Szedeak. MAFC was better in second period 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded MAFC 40-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. Szedeak players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Bulgarian Ivan Lilov (194-88, agency: Two Points) fired 28 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (198-80) chipped in 24 points and 8 rebounds. Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: De Paul) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. MAFC's coach Mate Jakab tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Szedeak moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Sopron KC. MAFC lost sixth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Szedeak's next round opponent will be Sopron KC (#9) on the road. MAFC will play against Kormend (#3) and hope to win that game.
