Regular Season Round 20: Cegledi EKK - UNI Gyor 70-68

The most exciting game of round 20 in the A Division took place in Cegled. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers UNI Gyor (13-5) to fifth ranked Cegledi EKK (12-5) 70-68 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 19-14 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Dora Medgyessy (174-86) who helped to win the game recording 30 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals and Serbian Maja Skoric (185-89) who added 24 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Belarusian swingman Tatsiana Likhtarovich (180-88) responded with 20 points and American forward Cyesha Goree (190-93, college: Michigan, agency: Interperformances) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Cegledi EKK maintains fifth position with 12-5 record. UNI Gyor at the other side dropped to the fourth place with five games lost. Cegledi EKK are looking forward to face Vasas Akademia (#8) in Budapest in the next round. UNI Gyor will have a break next round.
