Regular Season Round 20: MAFC - Kormend 80-85

No shocking result in a game in Budapest where third ranked Kormend (14-6) won against bottom-ranked MAFC (3-17) 85-80 on Saturday. MAFC was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 7-point lead after three quarters before a 27-15 charge of Kormend, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Milan Csorvasi (209-88, agency: HMS) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds and American-Liberian guard Lasan Kromah (198-91, college: Connecticut) who added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. Serbian Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: BeoBasket) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Croatian center Matija Poscic (206-85, college: De Paul) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Kormend have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. MAFC lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Kormend are looking forward to face Sopron KC (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. MAFC will play against PVSK Pannon (#7) in Pecs and is hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
