Regular Season Round 20: PEAC-Pecs - Miskolc 78-68

Rather predictable result when fourth ranked PEAC-Pecs (13-4) defeated at home 6th ranked Miskolc (11-7) 78-68 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 13-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 78-68. PEAC-Pecs made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Dorka Juhasz (189-99) who had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Jessica Kuster (188-92, college: Rice) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian power forward Tina Jovanovic (190-91) produced 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks and American guard Tierra Ruffin-Pratt (178-91, college: N.Carolina) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Miskolc players scored in double figures. Miskolc's coach Maikel Lopez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. PEAC-Pecs moved-up to third place. Loser Miskolc keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. PEAC-Pecs will meet ZTE NKK (#7) in the next round. Miskolc will play against the league's leader UNIQA Sopron and hope to secure a win.
