It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kaposvari. Alba looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Alba made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Peter Lorant (206-85, agency: Octagon Europe) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian guard Justin Edwards (190-92, college: Kansas St.) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Alba players scored in double figures. American center Kenneth Simms (205-86, college: Cumberland, agency: Promotex) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and his fellow American import swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St., agency: Interperformances) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Alba have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-3 record. Kaposvari at the other side dropped to the fourth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Szolnok. Alba are looking forward to face Vasas (#13) in Budapest in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kaposvari will play at home against ZTE KK (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
