Regular Season Round 20: Swiss Central - Lausanne 68-58
Date: March 5, 2017
There was no surprise in Luzern where 9th ranked Lausanne (6-13) was defeated by seventh ranked Swiss Central (8-10) 68-58. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The winners were led by American Colin Voss (201, college: N.Texas) who scored that evening 27 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-85) supported him with 13 points and 9 assists. Even 16 points and 6 rebounds by American guard Anton Wilson (196-94, college: Detroit Mercy) did not help to save the game for Lausanne. His fellow American import forward Brandon Swannegan (206-93, college: Tulsa) added 14 points and 9 rebounds for the guests. Swiss Central have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain seventh position with 8-10 record. Newly promoted Lausanne dropped to the tenth place with 13 games lost. Swiss Central's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Monthey on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
