Very important is a road loss of third ranked BC Rostov (17-14) against ninth ranked Sparta&K-2 V (13-18) on Tuesday night. Visiting BC Rostov was crushed by Sparta&K-2 V in Vidnoye 83-61. Sparta&K-2 V forced 19 BC Rostov turnovers. It was a good game for point guard Sevara Nuritdinova (163-98) who led her team to a victory with 18 points and 8 assists. Center Kseniia Nesterova (193-98) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Sparta&K-2 V players scored in double figures. Power forward Ekaterina Maschenkova (182-91) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Anastasia Maksimova (182-92) added 8 points in the effort for BC Rostov. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sparta&K-2 V moved-up to sixth place. BC Rostov at the other side keeps the third position with 14 games lost. They share it with Samara. Sparta&K-2 V will again play against higher ranked BC Rostov (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Rostov will have a break next round.
