Regular Season Round 34: Sparta&K-2 V - Rostov 59-79

The game in Vidnoye supposed to be quite interesting. Third ranked BC Rostov (18-14) played at the court of 6th ranked Sparta&K-2 V (13-19). BC Rostov did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 79-59 on Wednesday. BC Rostov dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Sparta&K-2 V's 28. BC Rostov forced 22 Sparta&K-2 V turnovers. BC Rostov looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Ekaterina Maschenkova (182-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Anastasia Maksimova (182-92) contributed with 16 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four BC Rostov players scored in double figures. The former international forward Julia Gladkova (185-94) replied with 12 points and 7 rebounds and center Darya Kosulnikova (192-99) added 8 points in the effort for Sparta&K-2 V. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Rostov moved-up to second place, which they share with Samara. Sparta&K-2 V at the other side keeps the sixth position with 19 games lost. They share it with Nika. BC Rostov is looking forward to face Samara (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sparta&K-2 V will play against Stavropol and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
