Regular Season Round 22: MAFC - KTE-Duna 81-92

Everything went according to plan when tenth ranked KTE-Duna (9-13) defeated bottom-ranked MAFC (3-19) in Budapest 92-81. KTE-Duna had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. MAFC was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian swingman Marko Djerasimovic (198-84, agency: BeoExcell) had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian center Kemal Karahodzic (210-89) chipped in 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) responded with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and Serbian Uros Duvnjak (190-86, agency: BeoBasket) scored 23 points (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. MAFC's coach Mate Jakab rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. KTE-Duna maintains tenth position with 9-13 record. MAFC lost ninth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. KTE-Duna will play against higher ranked Sopron KC (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MAFC will play against ZTE KK (#6) in Zalaegerszeg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
