Regular Season Round 21: ELTE-BEAC - PINKK-Pecsi 81-68

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Budapest where 9th ranked PINKK-Pecsi (3-16) was defeated by tenth ranked BEAC-Ujbuda (3-16) 81-68. PINKK-Pecsi was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 50-32 second half run of BEAC-Ujbuda. They also forced 21 PINKK-Pecsi turnovers. 37 personal fouls committed by PINKK-Pecsi helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Krisztina Sule (178-87) nailed 22 points for the winning side and power forward Judit Barnai (189-94) accounted for 16 points and 8 rebounds. The former international power forward Bettina Bozoki (191-89) came up with 13 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Monica Engelman (180-91, college: Kansas) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively for PINKK-Pecsi in the defeat. Four PINKK-Pecsi players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BEAC-Ujbuda moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated PINKK-Pecsi. PINKK-Pecsi lost their third game in a row. BEAC-Ujbuda's next round opponent will be league's leader Atomeromu in Szekszard and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
