Regular Season Round 21: Atomeromu - MTK 100-56

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Atomeromu as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Atomeromu smashed 11th ranked MTK in Szekszard 100-56. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to MTK's 28. Atomeromu forced 23 MTK turnovers and outrebounded them 43-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Slovenian center Eva Lisec (192-95) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Guard Agnes Studer (169-98, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. Power forward Zsuzsanna Szekely-Horvath (189-83, college: Georgetown) answered with 19 points and guard Dora Koch (175-93) added 9 points in the effort for MTK. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Atomeromu (15-3) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. MTK lost eighth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 17 lost games. MTK will play next round against PINKK-Pecsi trying to get back on the winning streak. Atomeromu will try to continue on its current victory against ninth ranked BEAC-Ujbuda at Budapest.
