Regular Season Round 23: Atomeromu - Kormend 95-84

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Kormend (16-7) against twelfth ranked Atomeromu (8-15) on Tuesday night. Visiting Kormend was defeated by Atomeromu in Paks 95-84. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Kormend. Kormend was ahead by 7 points at the halftime before a 54-36 second half run of Atomeromu. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. It was an exceptional evening for power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St., agency: Octagon Europe) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Point guard Talor Battle (182-88, college: Penn St., agency: Two Points) accounted for 5 points, 8 rebounds and 13 assists for the winning side. Guard Lenzelle Smith-Jr (193-91, college: Ohio St.) came up with 18 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and forward Terry Allen (203-93, college: Richmond) added 26 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Kormend in the defeat. Four Kormend players scored in double figures. Atomeromu moved-up to eleventh place. Kormend at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Atomeromu will play against higher ranked PVSK Pannon (#7) in Pecs in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Kormend will play at home against the league's leader Alba (#1) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
