Superleague 1 top team - Novosybirsk (17-6) added another victory to their record. This time they beat eighth ranked Kupol-Rodniki (10-11) 69-64. Novosybirsk made 22-of-28 charity shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Kupol-Rodniki only scored three points from the stripe. Kupol-Rodniki was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for swingman Gleb Goldyrev (200-93) who led the winners and scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Sergey Tokarev (189-85) accounted for 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Center Vladimir Lidyaev (203-87) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Maksim Zakharov (198-89, college: E.Utah JC) added 13 points respectively for Kupol-Rodniki in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Novosybirsk maintains first place with 17-6 record. Kupol-Rodniki at the other side keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Novosybirsk will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kupol-Rodniki will play on the road against Irkut Irkutsk (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
