Regular Season Round 23: ZTE KK - MAFC 86-80

Very expected game in Zalaegerszeg where 14th ranked MAFC (3-20) was defeated by sixth ranked ZTE KK (14-9) 86-80 on Thursday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. MAFC was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. ZTE KK made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian center Adomas Drungilas (203-90) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American-Puerto Rican point guard Emanuel Ubilla (188-86, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) produced 18 points and 6 assists and Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five MAFC players scored in double figures. ZTE KK maintains sixth place with 14-9 record. MAFC lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. ZTE KK will meet Sopron KC (#9) on the road in the next round. MAFC will play against Falco KC (#3) and hope to secure a win.
