Regular Season Round 22: Lausanne - Monthey 80-73

The most important game in the last round took place in Lausanne between second ranked Monthey (14-6) and ninth ranked Lausanne (7-13) on Saturday night. Monthey was defeated by Lausanne in a tough game on the road 73-80. Monthey trailed by 16 points after 3 quarters before a 25-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 73-80 at the end of the game. Lausanne forced 23 Monthey turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Monthey's players. American guard Karl Cochran (185-92, college: Wofford) had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Lausanne players scored in double figures. Lausanne's coach Randoald Dessarzin used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Croatian guard Pankracije Barac (196-81, agency: Court Side) responded with 29 points (made all of his seventeen free throws !!!) and French Rodrigue Maza (208-91, college: Academy of Art) scored 14 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Lausanne moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Boncourt. Monthey at the other side keeps the second position with six games lost.
