Tenth-ranked Massagno (6-14) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Neuchatel (13-7) on Saturday. Neuchatel managed to secure only two-point victory 74-72. However their fans expected much easier game. Massagno trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 25-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-74 at the end of the game. Neuchatel made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Serbian power forward Zoran Krstanovic (204-82) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. The former international Brian Savoy (189-92) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Danish center Jonas Bergstedt (210-91) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his eleven free throws !!!) and naturalized Italian point guard Marco Magnani (181-85) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Massagno's coach Renato Pasquali rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Neuchatel moved-up to third place, which they share with Lugano Tigers and Geneve Lions. Loser Massagno keeps the tenth position with 14 games lost.
