Regular Season Round 20: Etha - Keravnos 77-86

Division A top team - Keravnos (18-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Etha (4-16) in Nicosia 86-77. It looked good early as Etha took a 17-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Keravnos took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. They made 21-of-22 charity shots (95.5 percent) during the game. Keravnos outrebounded Etha 36-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Worth to mention a quality performance of American-Somalian forward Mohamed Abukar (208-85, college: San Diego St., agency: Two Points) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!) and American point guard Ronald Ross (188-83, college: Texas Tech) who added 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Baden Jaxen (190-90, college: N.Carolina) responded with 32 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Leron Barnes (196-93, college: Houston) scored 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Keravnos have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-2 record. Etha at the other side keeps the fifth place with 16 games lost.
