Regular Season Round 24: MAFC - Falco KC 75-67

The most important game in the last round took place in Budapest between third ranked Falco KC (16-9) and fourteenth ranked MAFC (4-20) on Sunday night. Falco KC was defeated by MAFC in a tough game on the road 67-75. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-14. But Falco KC won second period 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. MAFC made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. 28 personal fouls committed by Falco KC helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American point guard Deville Smith (183-91, college: Tenn-Martin, agency: Two Points) who scored 30 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and Serbian center Ivan Zigeranovic (212-84, agency: BeoExcell) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively. MAFC moved-up to thirteenth place, which they share with Vasas. Falco KC at the other side dropped to the fourth position with nine games lost. MAFC is looking forward to face higher ranked Kaposvari (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Falco KC will have a break next round.
