Second Stage Round 2: Massagno - Swiss Central 76-67

Date: March 26, 2017
Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Swiss Central (9-12) and Massagno (7-14), which took place in Massagno. Swiss Central lost to Massagno in a road game 67-76 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 5 points at the halftime before their 37-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. American guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Two Points) notched 18 points to lead the effort and Danish center Jonas Bergstedt (210-91) supported him with 10 points and 8 rebounds. Five Massagno players scored in double figures. Massagno's coach Renato Pasquali used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 18 points and 7 rebounds by American Colin Voss (201, college: N.Texas) did not help to save the game for Swiss Central. Serbian guard Nemanja Kovacevic (194-85) added 6 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests. Massagno will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Swiss Central will play against Boncourt (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
