Second Stage Round 2: Boncourt - Winterthur 84-70
Date: March 26, 2017
Rather expected game when Winterthur (2-19) lost on the road to Boncourt (8-13) 84-70 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Boncourt. Winterthur managed to win fourth quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Boncourt dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Winterthur's 32. American players dominated also this game. Forward Jarvis Williams (198-89, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Richard Carter (180-92, college: Drake, agency: Inception Sports) supported him with 21 points and 4 assists. Boncourt's coach Nicolas Perot used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 23 points and 7 rebounds by swingman Shane Southwell (201-92, college: Kansas St.) did not help to save the game for Winterthur. Forward Milton Jennings (206-90, college: Clemson, agency: Court Side) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Boncourt will meet Swiss Central (#7) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Winterthur will play against Lausanne (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
