Second Stage Round 3: Jaszberenyi - MAFC 90-74
Date: April 8, 2017
Rather expected game when MAFC (4-24) was defeated on the road by Jaszberenyi (8-20) 90-74. The game without a history. Jaszberenyi led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Jaszberenyi had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American guard Devon Saddler (183-91, college: Delaware) who led his team to a victory with 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Power forward Georgy Cseh (208-87) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Jaszberenyi players scored in double figures. Indian-Canadian forward Robbie Sihota (201-87) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and guard Levente Misek (193-93) added 25 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) in the effort for MAFC. Jaszberenyi will have a break next round. MAFC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Budapest Vasas.
