Second Stage Round 4: Lausanne - Massagno 95-81

Date: April 9, 2017
No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Lausanne (9-13) defeated at home 10th ranked Massagno (8-15) 95-81. Lausanne made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The winners were led by forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and guard Karl Cochran (185-92, college: Wofford) supported him with 18 points and 11 assists. Even 19 points and 5 rebounds by guard Warren Niles (196-89, college: ORU, agency: Two Points) did not help to save the game for Massagno. Forward Brandon Taylor (201-94, college: Penn St., agency: Three Eye Sports) added 16 points and 8 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Lausanne have a solid three-game winning streak. Newly promoted Lausanne maintains eighth position in Places 7-11 with 9-13 record. Massagno at the other side keeps the tenth place with 15 games lost. Lausanne's next round opponent will be higher ranked Swiss Central (#7) in Luzern and it may be quite challenging game. Massagno will play on the road against Boncourt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
